Dreams, Unfulfilled...

Updated: Jun 12, 2025

A few months ago, I woke up one day unhappy, frustrated and discontent

Not because of a lack of finances, God has been blessing me and my family.

Not because of a lack of love or attention. Between myself, God, family and select friends, my cup is already filled.

Not because I’m dissatisfied with self, I’ve been on a growth journey that I’m quite humbled and grateful for.

You want to know where my discontentment lies? It’s when I woke up and realized that I have, UNFULFILLED DREAMS AND VISIONS that God gave me years ago, (like almost 10 years ago) that I have yet to act on in my right now. . . . in my TODAY.

The thought of waking up everyday to clock in to a 9 to 5, sent me to a rough place mentally and emotionally. To be honest, I still wake up many days, dreading the work day, however, I've become more intentional with my time. Instead of roaming day by day to see what the day will bring, I plan my days to incorporate purposeful, brainstorming sessions for the future. My dream is to own a creative arts center for youth to express themselves and learn new skills/talents. So my daily now looks like pouring into myself for growth purposes, gleaning from those who are successful in my field, researching the Arts industry I am called to, but most importantly, sitting with God to find out His will for this vision He gave, for His purpose.

Out of my 35 years of living, I've come to realize, "A dream will remain a dream, until you decide to make it a reality, everyday. " I am committed to making time daily, for the pursuit of the dream(s) God gave me. Not for my own benefit, but so my children can know that they too can create as inspired by God to positively impact others.

What dreams or visions have you left on the table that God wants you focusing on right now? It could be to open a shelter for women who have been abused, or to create a mentorship program for young boys, or even to become a super model representing confidence for a major fashion brand. Whatever your vision is, it will require investment, work and consistent dedication.

It's easy to desire much, yet receive little out of life because of one thing. The unwillingness to put in the work necessary to bring the vision to pass. Are you willing to do the work to see the vision through? If so, let's get it! Join me on this journey of turning dreams to reality!

A few helpful tips to get you started:

Personal Development

  • Read books and participate in activities that will challenge you to grow in these five areas, (spiritually, financially, emotionally, socially, physically.)

Prayer & Devotion

  • Devote time with God for intimate relationship and seek direction for the dreams/visions He has given you. Your favorite social media influencer should not be the standard, God is.

  • Remain prayerful always. Daily, commit the dream/vision back to God.

Brainstorming/Planning

  • Begin mapping out the vision as God gives it to you. A full outline of what your vision will consist of. The systems, the building, the clients, the products/services, etc. Keep your journal, laptop, pen & paper handy, whenever ideas come!

This is not meant to be a full list from start to finish, but more like a mini guide for where and how to begin. May your dreams be fulfilled, as a result of the work you are willing to put in, considering those you are meant to impact, for God's purpose.

Keep on dreaming, dreamer! Where you are is not the end.
